Google Analytics is a platform owned by Google where you can track your website traffic, where your visitors are coming from and a number of other interest and behaviors while they are interacting with your website.
With this information you will be able to recognize patterns and see how you can target the people who visit your website. This information will also give you the key words that they used to get to your website. This in turn can be used if you are looking to increase leads and sales when using Google AdWords to purchase ranking on the first page of Google when someone is looking for your product or service.
For small to medium sized businesses the free version of Google Analytics is a great start to focus on who is coming to your website and come up with a strategy to keep them coming back!
Most websites that I visit have the same look and feel to them. They haven't been updated in quite some time or they are using the same template that a number of other websites are using. Putting up original content on a regular basis will help with bringing back existing customers to your website and also draw new customers who are looking for your services.
I believe that all small and medium sized business websites need to have an intro video that describes your business. You can start a YouTube channel and post the video on your website. Once you become familiar on how to do that you know have a way to communicate with your customers and show them what's new and how you can help make their life easier.
I started another website www.freesmallbuinessmarketing.com. I've posted a few videos so far and with enough practice and consistency I will be able to get in front of the customers who need my services. Try it out and see. It will only help in the long run.
Customers are looking for your services. How do you differentiate yourself from your competition? How can you make yourself stand out when its time for a new customer to make their decision to go with you? One thing that you can do is become a Subject Matter Expert.
One of the services that my company provides is e-mail marketing. How can I show my customers that I know more than my competition? With the companies that I represent I was able to study, review and test to become certified. One of the companies that I work with is Constant Contact.
Now I can show this to my customers and they know that I did the work to become certified with Constant Contact and discuss with my customers how they can use their services to reach new customers and stay in touch with their existing customers to help increase sales.
I can also use an array of images and marketing tools to use on my website and marketing information to promote myself and Constant Contact.
If you are interested in finding out more about Constant Contact please feel free to call or e-mail me with your questions. If you are interested in getting started right away you can Click Here to start for Free today.

There are still more than half of the small businesses out there that have not claimed their Google listing. Just 3 of the benefits of doing so:
The Small Business Administration reports that around 50 percent of small businesses are home-based firms, including 60.1 percent of firms without paid employees. Sole proprietorships are by far the most common types of these businesses.
About one in five firms (19.3%) are family-owned. Of these family-owned firms, about half are “equally-owned,” that is, 50% owned by one or more men, and 50% owned by one or more women. Hence, about one in 10 firms is both family-owned and equally-owned.
